Salem is one of the oldest English-speaking settlements on the Delaware Bay — founded 1675. The historic district includes 1700s-1800s Federal, Greek Revival, and Italianate houses with original slate, cedar, or historic asphalt roofs. Most of our Salem work is historic-restoration grade.
Historic Preservation Commission reviews exterior changes throughout the historic district. Many properties are National Register-listed, opening historic-tax-credit eligibility for qualifying restoration work. We provide HTC-compliant documentation.
