Essex County combines the dense urban roofscape of Newark and Belleville with the steep, complex historic roofs of Montclair and the established suburban stock of Bloomfield and Nutley. We serve the whole county from Garfield — a quick run down Route 21 — with same-day storm response anywhere in Essex.

Newark is largely a low-slope and flat-roof market. The Ironbound's brick rowhouses and multi-families carry flat and low-slope roofs that take EPDM, TPO, or modified-bitumen membranes rather than shingle, and the commercial and industrial blocks need full commercial flat-roof systems. Dense-city realities drive the job: street dumpster-placement permits, no driveway staging, and roof access through interior hatches. We plan all of it before the crew arrives.

Montclair is one of the most demanding residential roofing markets in the state. The town's 1890-1920 Victorians, Tudors, and large center-hall colonials have steep, cut-up roofs — turrets, multiple dormers, valleys, and original slate — where the right answer is often slate restoration and a full copper-flashing rebuild rather than tear-off. We do historical slate restoration, synthetic-slate (DaVinci) conversions where the structure can't carry natural slate, and we work within Montclair's historic-district expectations. Bloomfield, Nutley, and Belleville's pre- and post-war pitched roofs are mostly architectural-shingle tear-off territory.
