South Jersey — the I-295 / Route 42 suburbs

Gloucester County
Roofing & Exteriors

Across Gloucester County's fast-growing suburban townships and historic river towns — Glassboro, Deptford, Washington Township, Woodbury, Mullica Hill — we handle roof replacement, hail and storm damage, and commercial flat roofing.

Gloucester County, New Jersey

South Jersey's suburban reroof belt

Gloucester County is one of the fastest-growing parts of South Jersey, and most of our work here reflects that growth. Washington Township, Deptford, Mantua, Monroe (Williamstown), and the Harrison Township side of Mullica Hill filled in with large single-family developments from the 1980s through the 2010s, and those roofs are now reaching the end of the first asphalt-shingle cycle. The bread-and-butter job is a clean architectural-shingle tear-off — GAF Timberline HDZ with the System Plus warranty — on a 25-to-40-year-old colonial or split-level.

The older river-and-rail towns are a different kind of work. Woodbury, the county seat, and Pitman — a former Methodist camp-meeting town — have genuine Victorian and early-1900s housing with steep, detailed roofs that reward careful shingle and flashing work, and Swedesboro and Mullica Hill's historic cores carry some of the oldest building stock in the state. Along the Route 42, Route 55, and Deptford mall corridors we install and service commercial TPO and EPDM flat roofs for the retail and light-industrial buildings that anchor the local economy, and Rowan University's expansion in Glassboro keeps a steady stream of mixed-use and rental property in the pipeline.

South Jersey weather drives a different damage mix than up north. Gloucester County sees less snow than the northern counties but sits squarely in the summer-thunderstorm and hail corridor that tracks up from the Delaware Valley — so a meaningful share of our work here is hail and wind-damage documentation and insurance claims rather than winter ice-dam repair. We photograph hailstrike patterns to the ASCE/HAAG standard adjusters expect, attend the adjuster meeting, and make sure code-upgrade items are in the scope. We pull the permit in each municipality and coordinate the township inspection.
