Hudson County is flat-roof country, and that makes it the most specialized roofing market we serve. Jersey City, Hoboken, Bayonne, Union City, and Weehawken are built almost entirely of rowhouses, brownstones, and multi-family buildings with low-slope and flat roofs — not the pitched shingle roofs of the suburbs. The work here is membranes, coatings, and leak repair, done on tight urban access. We handle it across the county, with the permit and building-access planning Hudson requires.

The dominant Hudson project is flat-roof replacement and restoration on rowhouses and brownstones: EPDM and TPO membranes, modified bitumen on older buildings, and silicone coatings that extend the life of a sound membrane 10-20 years at a fraction of replacement cost. Parapet walls, internal roof drains, and the shared party-wall conditions of attached rowhouses all demand detail work that a shingle crew isn't set up for. Most Hudson roofs have no driveway and no place for a dumpster except the street, so we pull municipal dumpster-placement permits and stage from the curb.

The condo and co-op market adds another layer. Much of Jersey City's and Hoboken's housing is now board-governed, and roof work requires board approval, insurance certificates, and resident-access coordination before a crew sets foot on the building — we provide all of it. Waterfront and flood-exposed blocks in Hoboken and the Jersey City Heights and downtown carry the added consideration of wind uplift and water management that Superstorm Sandy made unmistakable. On the cliffside and hill sections of Weehawken and North Bergen, we also work on pitched roofs that take conventional architectural-shingle and metal systems.
